FULL-SERVICE LOCKSMITH (Full Time Position) in Dallas, Texas

If you’re a knowledgeable lock technician serving the area around Dallas, or wish to become one, and you’re thinking about working at a full-time position for one of Dallas’ leading locksmith companies, we are eager about meeting you! We have an excellent reputation among the residents, motorists, and business owners of Dallas. We give preference to locksmiths wanting to move within Texas itself or countrywide.

Description

As a full-service locksmith, you’ll be given the tasks of emergency and scheduled projects in Dallas, Texas and surrounding regions including repairing, replacing, and re-keying office locks and security systems, auto locks, and residential locks. Additionally, you’ll deal with inquiries for duplication of keys, various lockout situations, laser key cutting, and programming car transponder keys. Keep in mind that since this is a full-time position, you will be required to be on call for many hours.

What’s Expected of You?

Besides the proficiencies stated previously, you’ll need to be informed and experienced in:

• using a key cutting machine to cut new keys
• unlocking residential front doors
• repairing and setting up high-tech locks such as keyless entry systems, biometric locks, and electronic deadbolts
• changing locks
• rekeying a lock
• disassembling and reassembling lock parts
• household, industrial, and automotive lock work
• setting up commercial security apparatuses such as video surveillance and panic devices utilizing the necessary tools
• repairing/replacing car key ignitions

Typical Conditions on the Job

• working in heavy-duty uniforms given by Dallas FW Locksmith
• ability to work in various weather conditions
• lifting heavy objects regularly
• ability to work in stressful environments and maintain your calm
• on-call 24 hours a day, 6 days a week traveling to Dallas and neighboring areas

Essential Qualifications

If you are positive that you’ll be able to complete all the tasks already mentioned, make sure you possess the subsequent qualifications too before applying:

• high school graduate or GED certification
• US citizen, Green Card holder, or valid work visa
• 5+ years experience in locksmithing is preferred, but not essential
• reliable car or van for work
• very good people skills (this means being considerate and friendly)
• holder of a valid Texas driver’s license with a 100% clean driving record

Remuneration

Compensation is commission-based, depending on salesmanship and practical experience. We provide promotions as well.
